The job duties of AM/PMEMS dispatcher may include:
- 1. Receiving and processing requests for transportation services from healthcare facilities, patients, and caregivers.
- 2. Scheduling transportation services for patients, ensuring that vehicles and drivers are available to meet the needs of patients.
- 3. Communicating with patients, healthcare providers, and transportation providers to ensure that everyone is aware of the schedule and any changes that may occur.
- 4. Maintaining accurate records of all transportation requests, including patient information, pick-up and drop-off times, and billing information.
- 5. Coordinating with transportation providers to ensure that all vehicles are properly maintained and meet safety standards.
- 6. Monitoring the performance of transportation providers to ensure that they meet service level agreements and quality standards.
- 7. Resolving any issues or complaints related to transportation services, including scheduling conflicts, driver behavior, and billing disputes.
- 8. Ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to transportation services.
- 9. Providing reports and analysis of transportation services to management and other stakeholders.
- AM/PMES dispatchers often work in a fast-paced environment and must be able to multitask, communicate effectively, and manage their time efficiently. They must also have a good understanding of medical terminology and be able to communicate effectively with healthcare providers and patients.
